231.01   ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT.
   (a)   The Administrative Assistant shall be appointed and serve at the discretion of the Mayor. The Administrative Assistant will perform such duties and be available during the hours as directed by the Mayor. The duties of the Administrative Assistant shall include but not be limited to attending any and all meetings as directed by the Mayor, taking minutes and transcribing them for Village records, coordinating the Village Newsletter, website and any and all other administrative duties on or in behalf of the Village as directed by the Mayor.
   (b)   Compensation for the position of Administrative Assistant shall be as set from time to time by Council Resolution.
   (c)   The employee shall be qualified to participate in the Public Employees Retirement System as required by law. Any other benefits, such as medical insurance, paid sick leave, paid vacation time or paid personal days shall be negotiated by the Mayor and based upon the experience and qualifications of the appointee, subject to approval by Council.
