11-5-5: STREET IMPROVEMENTS:
   A.   All streets shall be improved with roadway pavements to an overall width in accordance with the following minimum dimension:

1.   Community Development Commission may require greater roadway pavement widths.
   B.   Roadway pavements in cul-de-sac street turnarounds shall have a minimum diameter, measured from back of curb of eighty four feet (84') for residential subdivisions, one hundred feet (100') for manufacturing and business subdivisions, and roadway pavements in "T" type or other variation of the circular type terminus shall be as approved by the Community Development Commission.
   C.   Roadway pavement in streets shall have a width not less than herein required in subsection A of this section, and shall be installed in accordance with the Village and Illinois Department of Transportation standards and specifications.
   D.   Roadway pavement in alleys, when permitted, shall be not less than eighteen feet (18') wide in residential subdivisions and not less than twenty feet (20') wide in business and manufacturing subdivisions, and shall be installed in accordance with Village and IDOT (Illinois Department of Transportation) standards and specifications.
   E.   Curb, or curb and gutter roadway pavement edging, shall be installed in accordance with the Village and IDOT standards and specifications.
   F.   A street lighting system shall be installed in accordance with Village and IDOT standards and specifications as established specifically for areas within each of the zoning district classifications.
   G.   Street signs shall be located so as to identify every street within the subdivision, and they shall be of the type and installed in accordance with Village standards and specifications.
   H.   Stormwater inlets and catch basins shall be provided at locations as required by the Village Engineer, and they shall be of the type and installed in accordance with Village and IDOT standards and specifications.
   I.   All curb or roadway pavement corners in residential areas shall have a radius of not less than thirty feet (30'). All curb or roadway pavement corners in Commercial and Business Districts shall have a radius of forty eight feet (48') to back of curb.
   J.   All side strips within a street right-of-way shall be graded and seeded, when feasible, in accordance with Village and IDOT standards and specifications.
   K.   Trees shall be planted along all streets where trees do not exist. Trees shall have a trunk diameter, measured twelve inches (12") above the ground, of not less than two and one- half inches (21/2"), and shall be spaced not more than forty feet (40') apart. This requirement will be satisfied if an equivalent number of trees of the same size or larger are planted in a naturalistic manner in the front yards of the adjoining lots. The planting shall be restricted to trees as referenced in section 8-10-4 of this Code. A financial guarantee for landscaping shall be required.
   L.   All sanitary and storm sewers and water mains shall be installed in accordance with Village and IDOT and the standard specifications for water and sewer main construction in Illinois. (Ord. 11-86, 4-17-1986)
