ADOPTING ORDINANCE

ORDINANCE ADOPTING BENSENVILLE

   VILLAGE CODE

   WHEREAS, the Ordinances of General Application of the Village of Bensenville were last codified and published in 1976; and

   WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees previously directed the recodification of all of the Village's Ordinances of General Application in a new Code Book; and

   WHEREAS, the recodification in a single Code Book known as the BENSENVILLE VILLAGE CODE has been prepared, republishing all ordinances of General Application adopted prior to March 31, 1982; and

   WHEREAS, the adoption of the recodified Ordinances requires action by the President and Board of Trustees.

   NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Bensenville, Counties of DuPage and Cook, Illinois, as follows:

   SECTION ONE: The Village's recodified Ordinances known as the BENSENVILLE VILLAGE CODE, prepared by Sterling Codifiers, Inc., are hereby adopted and declared to be the official Village Code of the Village of Bensenville.

   SECTION TWO: Except for Ordinances adopted since March 31, 1982, and those Ordinances described in Section 1-2-1 of the Bensenville Village Code, all Ordinances of the Village of Bensenville not contained in the Bensenville Village Code are hereby repealed.

   SECTION THREE: All Ordinances of General Application adopted since March 31, 1982, and all Ordinances of General Application hereafter adopted shall set forth the Title, Chapter and Section Number in accordance with the numerical organizations of the Bensenville Village Code, and shall be printed as Amendments and Supplements to the Bensenville Village Code at regular, convenient intervals.

   SECTION FOUR: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon its passage and approval in the manner provided by law.

   SECTION FIVE: That all ordinances, or parts of Ordinances, in conflict with this Ordinance be, and the same are, hereby repealed.
