8-2-3: REQUIREMENTS:
   A.   Restoring Surface: Any such excavation, tunneling or boring shall be filled and repaired, and the street, sidewalk, alley or public way shall be returned to its previous condition as quickly as is practicable promptly after the work has been completed and proper inspections, if any, have been made.
   B.   Backfill: The backfill of any such excavation, tunneling or boring shall be conducted in accordance with the Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction as outlined under section 31, Porous Granular Backfill, adopted by the State of Illinois, Department of Highways, January 2, 1958. If the excavation, tunneling or boring is not properly backfilled within five (5) days after the completion of the work to be done, the Village shall backfill such excavation, tunneling or boring or have the same backfilled, paying the cost thereof from such deposit.
   C.   Resurfacing: Resurfacing shall be done in such a manner as to be equal to the existing surface prior to the commencement of work. Such resurfacing shall be done not earlier than twenty one (21) days after the backfilling nor later than thirty (30) days after such backfilling, and if such resurfacing is not done within the time specified, the Village shall do such resurfacing or have such resurfacing done, paying the cost thereof from such deposit. No resurfacing shall be done without at least twenty four (24) hours' advance notice to the Director of Public Works, who shall either in person or by his inspectors be present at the time such work is done.
