161.14 MILITARY LEAVE.
   (a)   Any permanent full-time City employee who is placed on active duty or training by any branch of the United States military or armed forces shall be granted military leave without loss of pay or benefits to which they were entitled while serving as City employees for up to a month in any calendar year.
   (b)   Any permanent full-time City employee who is placed on active duty or training by any branch of the United States military or armed forces who serves more than one month in any calendar year shall be granted military leave and shall be paid by the City during each monthly pay period of absence the difference between the employee’s gross monthly wage or salary as a public employee and the gross military monthly wage or salary earned, so as to make up any shortfall between the military pay and the civilian pay.
   (c)   Any permanent full-time City employee who is placed on active duty or training by any branch of the United States military or armed forces shall be entitled to draw whatever benefits in addition to salary or wages that he/she would have been entitled to draw as a public employee.
   (d)   Any temporary full-time City employee who is placed on active duty or training by any branch of the United States military or armed forces shall be entitled to the same payments and benefits as a permanent full-time City employee unless and until said temporary full-time employee is terminated from his/her temporary position.
