Walls and fences may be erected for privacy, screening, separation, security, or erosion control. The design and materials used shall be functional and compatible with existing and proposed site architecture. No fence or wall shall be so constructed or installed as to constitute a hazard to traffic or safety. Fences and walls must be constructed of high quality materials, such as decorative blocks, brick, stone, woodcrete and wrought iron. The following table specifies which types are permitted and prohibited based on the use of the structure:
