1339.04 SHADE TREES.
   (a)   Shade trees shall be installed on both sides of all streets in accordance with the developer's landscape plan, approved by the tree commission. Subdivisions planned for wooded sites will not need shade trees planted along roadways as long as the tree commission agrees that there are sufficient and acceptable trees remaining in the right-of-way adjacent to the street.    (b)   Undesirable Plants/Trees:    Ailanthus, White and Silver Birch, Box Elder, Catalpa, Cottonwood, Siberian Elm, "Fruit" trees, Black Locust, Silver Maple, Mimosa, Russian Olive, Poplar, Tree of Heaven, Black Walnut, weeping trees, Willows and all Ash species. Prohibited plants include those that are invasive or potentially damaging to streets, sidewalks, utilities, drainage improvements, and foundations. The Tree Commission shall maintain/update a comprehensive plant list that identifies nuisance species or prohibited plants that are prohibited in required landscape areas and posted on the city website.
