The purpose of this chapter is to protect and to promote the public health, safety and general welfare of the citizens of the City of Belpre; protection of existing environmental features and provision of landscaping provides for an attractive development; to provide visual buffering and to enhance the beautification of the City; minimization of soil loss, flood hazard, noise pollution, and visual nuisance. Additionally, protection of existing vegetation, drainage patterns, and topography can help reduce construction costs. Planned landscaping features will add to property values and provide benefits to future residents of the City.
