(a) If the Belpre Volunteer Fire Department or the Belpre Safety-Service Director receives a report that open burning is occurring within City limits, the Belpre Fire Chief or his designated appointee shall view the scene to determine whether this open burning is creating a hazard or a nuisance to the public. If it is determined that the open burning is creating a hazard or a nuisance to the public, the Fire Department should put out the fire.
(b) All incidents of open burning reported to the Belpre Volunteer Fire Department or the Belpre Safety-Service Director shall report such incident to the Ohio EPA for its investigation. (Ord. 26(2010-11). Passed 4-25-11.)
