The applicant for a plumbing contractor's license or for registration as a journeyman plumber shall be at least twenty-one years of age, and have had five years of practical experience in the plumbing trade; or two years of training in an accredited plumbing school plus three years of practical experience in the plumbing trade; or a degree from an accredited college as a mechanical engineer.
