(a) Unless the context otherwise requires, the following definitions shall be used in the interpretation and construction of the Zoning Ordinance.
(b) Words used in the present tense include the future.
(c) The singular number shall include the plural, and the plural the singular.
(d) The word "building" shall include the word "structure".
(e) The word "used" shall include arranged, designed, constructed, altered, converted, rented, leased or intended to be used.
(f) The word "shall" is mandatory and not optional.
(g) The word "abut" shall include the words "directly across from".
