505.15 INOCULATION OF DOGS; RABIES CONTROL.
   (a)   No person owning or harboring any dog shall maintain or harbor such animal unless the dog is inoculated against rabies.
   (b)   Whenever the Mayor or the Board of Health deems it necessary for the protection of the public, he or it shall issue an order prohibiting for a certain time therein specified, any dog from being at-large in any public street, or place, unless muzzled and on leash. Such order shall be posted in three or more conspicuous places in the City, for such time as the Mayor shall deem necessary. Any dog found at-large during the existence of the quarantine order shall be impounded, and may be destroyed by the police without notice to the owner. Whenever it is necessary, the Mayor or Board may extend the expiration time of such order by posting notice of the period of extension, in the same as herein set forth.

   (c)   Whoever violates this section is guilty of a minor misdemeanor.
