§ 51.39 OUTSIDE CLEANOUT CONNECTION.
   For all new construction, lateral sanitary line repairs, or replacements of existing services, a cleanout shall be required outside of the dwelling within five feet of the building foundation. Cleanouts shall be a minimum of six inches in diameter, shall be extended to finished grade, and shall be located so as to be accessible. The building sewer lines shall be constructed of PVC. Cleanouts shall be sanitary tees so as to allow two-way rodding, either toward the main or the dwelling. All cleanouts shall be installed on the owner's property not within ten feet of a public sidewalk and not in village's right of way. It is the property owner's responsibility to maintain the cleanout and cap in a manner to prevent overflows.
