(A) All owners of residential property which is offered for sale or rental within the village or agents hired by owners for the purpose of offering such residential property for sale or rental shall notify the village within five days after the first real estate listing or rental agreement is entered into, and/or advertisement or publication of such intent to sell or rent is made, whichever shall first occur, by filing a “Notice of Intent to Sell or Rent” with the Village Clerk.
(B) Information to be included in notice:
(1) The notice filed with the Village Clerk shall state:
(a) The name, address and telephone number of the person selling or renting;
(b) The name, address and telephone number of any agent, broker or salesperson who is handling the sale or rental;
(c) The address of the property and whether it is for sale or rent.
(2) The notification shall be in the form set forth in Appendix C of this chapter.
(C) Any owner, or agent hired by an owner, violating any provision of this section shall be fined as set forth in this chapter.
