§ 91.03 PERMIT PROVISIONS.
   (A)   Permit required.
      (1)   No person shall install or operate any automatic protection device which automatically transmits a signal, message or warning to the Police Department telephone line or other alarm terminal located within the Police Department, without first obtaining a permit as required by this chapter.
      (2)   When the automatic protection device is to be installed and maintained by an alarm equipment supplier on a subscription basis, the permit shall be issued only to the firm installing and maintaining the automatic protection device.
      (3)   When the automatic protection device is installed and maintained on a nonsubscription basis, the permit shall be issued only to the occupant of the residence or other structure where such device is installed.
      (4)   A permit is not required for automatic protection devices that are connected to an answering terminal other than the Police Department. The charges prescribed in § 91.11 shall be levied against the firm or person operating the terminal for each accidentally setoff or false alarm in excess of one in any three-month period and reported to the Police Department.
   (B)   Application. Application for permit to install, maintain and operate an automatic protection device shall be filed with the Village Clerk on forms supplied by the village with an application fee of $25. no permit shall be issued to any person or firm who refuses or fails to provide all information requested on the application form. No fee shall be required for existing subscribers to Veritex System. All new subscribers to Veritex shall be required to pay the above permit fee.
