§ 10.99 GENERAL PENALTY.
   Whenever in this code or in any ordinance of the village or any rule or regulation promulgated pursuant thereto any act is prohibited or is made or declared to be unlawful, where no specific penalty is provided therefor, the violation of any such provision of this code or any ordinance shall be punished by a fine not exceeding $1,000, and any failure to pay any such fine, penalty or cost shall be subject to imprisonment for a term not to exceed six months for one offense. A violation of any provision of this code or of any ordinance shall constitute a separate offense for each day such violation continues.
