(A) Within ten days after a vehicle has been impounded, notice of impoundment shall be sent by certified mail, return receipt requested and regular mail to the registered owner of the vehicle at the current address listed with the Secretary of State or applicable motor vehicle registry.
(B) The notice shall state that if the vehicle is not claimed and released pursuant to § 72.54, within 30 days after the date of the notice, then the vehicle shall be determined to be abandoned and shall be sold at public sale.
