Once a development plan and drainage system that meets the runoff criteria has been decided upon, the detail design plans for the drainage facilities and control structures should be developed. Detail design plans shall be developed according to generally accepted engineering principles and approved by the Village Engineer. It is important at this point in time to work closely with the Village Engineer to make sure that all facilities and structures are being designed according to standards and criteria that exist for these types of facilities and structures within that jurisdiction.
