§ 8-50 SAME—CONDUCT OF HEARING; ORDER BY COUNCIL.
   Upon the date fixed for hearing and for which proper notice has been given as provided for in this article, the city council shall hear all objections made by the owner, lessee, occupant or mortgagee of record of the building in question, as well as evidence submitted by the building official or other persons interested. If, after consideration of all evidence produced, the city council shall find that such building is a public nuisance, it shall, by resolution, order and direct the owner to cause such building to be torn down and removed, the resolution to be in the form prescribed by the city council.
