§ 150.06 INSECT SCREENS.
   (A)   Definitions. For the purpose of this section the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
      (1)   “INSECT SCREEN.” A frame holding a usually metallic netting used in a window or door to exclude pests (such as insects).
      (2)   “OPENABLE AREA.” That part of a window or door which is available for unobstructed ventilation and which opens directly to the outdoors.
   (B)   During the period from April 1 to December 1, every door and window or other outside opening used for ventilation purposes serving any dwelling or business shall be supplied with approved insect screens. The screens shall be:
      (1)   Tight-fitting to a minimum of fifty percent (50%) of the window;
      (2)   Of framed, one-piece construction; and
      (3)   Not less than sixteen (16) mesh per inch.
   (C)   Screen doors shall not be required for out-swinging doors or other types of openings which make screening impractical, provided other approved means such as air curtains or insect repellant fans are employed. Screen doors shall have a self-closing device in good working condition.
