The following sounds are exempted from the provisions of section 4-2-2 of this chapter:
A. Sounds caused by any emergency vehicle and equipment, snow removal equipment and lawn maintenance equipment.
B. Sounds caused by activities upon any Municipal or school or other publicly owned property or facility; provided, that such activities have been authorized by the owner thereof.
C. Sounds caused by parades or other public events for which a permit for that type of activity is required and has been obtained, provided the same is conducted in conformance with said permit.
D. Sounds caused by burglar alarms and other safety alarms.
E. Sounds caused by devices approved for use by the City within the confines of the particular zoning designation in which the device is located or pursuant to a use permit issued by the City.
F. Sounds emanating from devices used within the common areas of a commercial or light industrial complex which have been approved by the owners or management of said complex and only to the extent that the noise is plainly audible within units within said complex. (Ord. 97-11, 10-9-1997)
