§ 158.015 LIABILITY OF PERSONS TO CITY FOR DAMAGES.
   If any person violates any provision of §§ 158.011 through 158.014 of this chapter, and any person or property in consequence thereof is injured or damaged, and the city shall be legally required to pay for such injury or damage, the person so guilty of such violation shall be liable to the city in a civil action for all such damages and all reasonable costs incurred by the city in relation thereto, and no prosecution or other proceeding by the city of such person for any penalty imposed for a violation shall constitute a bar to such action by the city for such damages.
