§ 33.071 USE OF FIRE HYDRANTS.
   (A)   (1)   It shall be unlawful for anyone to use fire hydrants within the city without first obtaining a written permit from the Fire Department and Illinois American Water Company.
      (2)   Upon issuing such a permit, the Water Company shall immediately notify the Fire Chief that the permit was issued.
   (B)   A person obtaining a permit to use a fire hydrant must have the permit in his or her possession at all times while operating the hydrant.
   (C)   (1)   All fire hydrants privately owned and within the jurisdictional boundaries of the city’s Fire Department must provide written verification for yearly flow testing and inspection of parts and equipment.
      (2)   Upon yearly Fire Inspection, a copy of this test must be provided to the Fire Department for their records.
