All persons availing themselves of the use of such emergency vehicle shall be transported to the closest most appropriate medical facility in accordance with the protocol provided by the medical director and as determined by the EMS personnel. Further, persons may be transported from one hospital to another, one facility to another, or to his/her home or care center as needed upon request.
