(A) The purpose of this section is to require that all homes, houses and businesses within the corporate city limits properly and visibly display accurate street numbers showing their addresses for the purpose of emergency response.
(B) (1) The size and location required for the display of street and address numbers shall be as herein established and as may be modified as needed from time to time by resolution of the City Council, with a record of the same as kept by the City Clerk.
(2) The address display requirements are initially established as follows.
(a) The numeral portion of said address shall be displayed in reflective letters of a minimum height of three inches and reading left to right.
(b) Said numeral address shall be displayed to the immediate left or right of the main entry on the street address side of the residence or business.
(c) In the event of any residence or business which is located 100 feet or more from the roadside, there shall be an additional posting of the address within ten feet of the right-of-way on a post or sign at a height of three to four feet from the ground and as shown in divisions (B)(2)(a) and (B)(2)(b) above.
