(A) No person, group or business shall conduct a public display of fireworks without first obtaining a permit from the city. Any and all permits for the public display of fireworks shall be obtained by the person, group or business that is conducting the display. Such permit shall be approved by the Board of Public Works and Safety.
(B) Fireworks and the temporary storage, use, handing of pyrotechnic special effects material used in motion pictures, television, theatrical and group entertainment productions shall be in accordance with IC 22-11-14 and the applicable rules of the Fire Prevention and Building Safety Commission currently in effect.
(C) A certificate of insurance conditioned for the payment of all damages which may be caused either to a person or persons in an amount of not less than $1,000,000, holding the city harmless from liability shall be reason for the licensed display, arising from any acts of the licensee, his or her agents, employees or subcontractors. The certificate of insurance shall be presented to the Clerk/ Treasurer for proper filing.
(D) The fee for each permit issued pursuant to each public display of fireworks shall be $50 payable to the city.
