For the purpose of this subchapter the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
ADJACENT. Abutting the property of the residence or, if no such space is available, then directly across the street and within the same block as the residence.
HOUSEHOLD. A single individual living upon the premises as a single housekeeping unit or a collective body of persons living upon the premises as a single housekeeping unit.
SINGLE-FAMILY DETACHED DWELLING. A building designed for the occupancy of no more than five adults, such as persons 16 years of age or older and any dependent children of the household.
HANDICAPPED PERSON. Handicapped person shall mean a person who has been issued a valid handicapped person license plate or sticker issued by an agency of the state or who has been so determined by the Board of Public Works and Safety after hearing thereon and after considering proof of physical disability certified by a medical doctor.
