Pursuant to IC 36-7-14-3, the Council hereby establishes the city Department of Redevelopment (the “Department”), for the purposes and to exercise the powers set forth in the Act or otherwise granted by law. The Department will be controlled by a board of five (5) members to be known as the city Redevelopment Commission (the “Commission”), two of whom shall be appointed by the Common Council and three of whom shall be appointed by the Mayor of the city. The Common Council shall make its appointments by separate resolution.
