137.07 PHYSICAL EXAMINATIONS.
   (a)   All members of the Division of Fire, as a condition of employment upon a job offer and before appointment to the Division, shall furnish written evidence of physical and/or mental fitness for such position by submitting themselves to a complete physical and/or psychological examination, at the expense of the City, by a duly licensed physician to be chosen by the Mayor, whose report shall be final.
   (b)   All employees of the Division of Fire shall submit to a physical examination and complete stress test no more than once a year after their appointment at the request of the Mayor or Fire Chief. This examination shall only be related to the ability of the employee to perform his/her job. Each employee shall authorize the physician to submit a written report of the examination findings relative to the ability of the employee to perform his/her job to the Fire Chief and/or the Mayor. If an employee is found to be unable to perform his/her duty, the employee may elect to receive a second opinion from a physician of his/her choice, at his/her own expense.
   (c)   All information obtained as a result of any physical and/or psychological examination shall be kept as a confidential medical record and put into separate files to be given out only under the conditions set forth at Section 157.30.
