141.03 PERSONNEL.

   (a)   There are hereby established in the Department of Community Life the following positions to be appointed by the Mayor, who shall serve at the pleasure of the Mayor, and receive such compensation as Council may from time to time provide:

      (1)   Full-Time.

         A.   Administrative Assistant (two);

         B.   Custodians, (two);

         C.   Maintenance, (one);

         E.   Office/Front Desk Manager - [duties as outlined in Job Description prepared by Community Life Director and Mayor]

      (2)   Permanent part-time (up to twenty-nine hours per week)

         A.   General office clerk (as required).

         B.   Receptionist (as required).

         C.   Custodians (as required).

         D.   Locker Room Attendants (as required).

         E.   Fitness Room Attendants (as required).

         F.   Sports & Leagues Assistant (one).

         G.   Recreation Workers (two).

         H.   Instructors (as required).

         I.   Sports Commissioner, Annual (two).

         J.   Playground Commissioner, Annual (one).

         K.   Van Operator/Driver (as required).

      (3)   Seasonal part-time. In accordance with Section 157.28, Bedford Heights residents shall have preference over non-residents in hiring for seasonal positions.

         A.   Baseball Umpires and Scorekeepers (as required).

         B.   Basketball Referees (as required).

         C.   Summer seasonal gym supervisors (as required).

         D.   Student grounds crew (as required).

         E.   Students recreation interns (two).

         F.   Playground Supervisors (as required).

         G.   Playground Assistants (as required).

         H.   Cashier (as required).

         I.   Concession Stand Operator (as required).

         J.   Maintenance Aides (as required).

         K.   Community Center Substitute/Student (as required).

         L.   Summer Camp Program Director (one Full-Time).

         M.   Summer Camp Counselors (Full-Time - as required).

         N.   Summer Camp Early Bird Staff Member (one).

         O.   Seasonal Bus Driver.

   (b)   Notwithstanding the provisions of Section 141.03, Subsections (1), (2) and (3), the Mayor in his/her sole discretion shall determine the number of personnel necessary to fill each of the above-delineated positions.
