The following rules and regulations shall apply to all persons using the portion of the Shuster Way Heritage Trail located within Bedford Borough:
(A) Trail hours: open dawn to dusk; closed dusk to dawn;
(B) Dial 911 for emergencies;
(C) Parking.
(1) No overnight parking;
(2) Park only in designated areas; and
(3) Parking only for trail users;
(D) No motorized vehicles; except for wheelchairs, scooters, and permitted e-bikes (must weigh 100 pounds or less; have a motor that produces no more than 750 watts or less; and have fully functional pedals);
(E) Speed limit not to exceed 15 mph;
(F) Pedestrians have right-of-way;
(G) Users must leash pets and remove pet waste;
(H) Users must stay on the designated trail;
(I) Users must travel at speed appropriate to conditions and other users;
(J) Users must give audible signals when passing;
(K) Users must not fish from, jump from, or climb on structures;
(L) Alcohol and psychoactive substances are prohibited;
(M) Littering is prohibited;
(N) Graffiti or otherwise marking objects prohibited;
(O) Open campfires and camping are prohibited;
(P) Report trail maintenance concerns to Bedford Township Office (814-623-8296), or Bedford Borough Office (814-623-8192);
(Q) Events involving more than 20 people require prior approval from the Bedford Joint Municipal Authority and Bedford Borough; and
