§ 33.11  EMERGENCY INTERIM SUCCESSION TO THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS.
   (A)   Designation.
      (1)   Under the authority of G.S. Ch. 162B, the county designates the following to be the emergency interim succession to the Board of Commissioners:
         (a)   The County Manager;
         (b)   The County Accountant;
         (c)   The Register of Deeds; and
         (d)   The County Engineer.
      (2)   The County Manager or his or her successor shall act as Chairperson.
   (B)   Oath. The emergency interim successors shall, before conducting any public business, take the oath of office required of other County Commissioners.
   (C)   Powers and duties. The powers and duties of the emergency interim successors, and their exercise thereof, shall be in accordance with G.S. Ch. 162B as amended.
