711.01 OUTDOOR SALES AND SERVICE.
(a) Outdoor serving and sale of food and beverages by restaurants or other food service persons or companies are prohibited at any location closer than 300 feet to any residential district between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m. of the following day. This regulation does not prohibit residents in single-family attached or detached homes from employing a caterer to serve food outdoors at such homes during restricted hours.
(b) The Mayor is authorized to grant temporary permits for special or unusual occasions, such as grand openings of new businesses and events by nonprofit organizations, extending the permitted hours or location, where he or she finds that such permit will not have a material or substantial adverse impact upon any residential property.
