If a notice of violation or order to comply is not complied with promptly, then the building official will issue a stop work order as provided for in Section 15.01.120. If the permittee or his or her agents refuse or are unable to correct violations, whether related to a formal stop work order or other official notice of the Village, then the Village will institute the appropriate proceedings at law or in equity to restrain, correct, or abate such violations or to require the removal or termination of the unlawful act complained of in the violation notice. Penalties may include those as set forth in Section 15.01.200, with citations to be reviewed per the procedures in Chapter 2.43 (Code Hearings) or through the Lake County Circuit Court.
