1462.23 OCCUPANCY OF CONDEMNED PROPERTY PROHIBITED.
   (a)   Except as provided in subsection (b) hereof, no person shall occupy, or permit or allow another person to occupy, a dwelling, dwelling unit, or structure that has been posted "condemned" as being unsafe or unfit for occupancy. A person violating this section is guilty of a misdemeanor.
   (b)   A person who has a "Letter of Permission" signed and dated by the Administrator may occupy the dwelling, dwelling unit, or structure during the time periods and for the purposes set forth in the letter of permission. The letter of permission is only available for purposes of repairing conditions that caused the condemnation, or for demolition, or during a properly filed appeal that allows for the stay of an order to vacate issued under this chapter.
