The purpose of this chapter is to establish minimum standards for the design and installation of mechanical systems, including heating systems, ventilating systems, cooling systems, steam and hot water heating systems, process piping and boilers, as well as the use of gas fuel, oil fuel, solar heat, solid fuel or electrical power, chimneys and vents, mechanical refrigeration systems, fireplaces, barbeques, incinerators, crematories and fire protection systems.
