As used in this chapter, unless it appears from the context that a different meaning is intended:
i. "Street" means any street, alley, avenue, court, lane or public place in the City.
ii. "Taxicab" means any motor vehicle used in the business of carrying persons for hire and carrying six passengers or less, provided that automobiles used exclusively as hearses, ambulances, hotel buses or sightseeing buses shall not be construed to be taxicabs.
