Prior to commencing employment, prospective employees shall be required to have a physical examination with a medical doctor selected by the City. The doctor shall certify that the prospective employee is physically able to perform the duties of the job for which the employee is to be hired. Any employee may be required to undergo a periodic physical examination as deemed necessary for the health and safety of himself or other employees. The City shall pay the cost of all examinations ordered by the Director of Employee Relations.
