Section 12.2. Dilapidation.
The City shall have power by ordinance to prevent, prohibit, and correct public nuisances, structural dilapidation of dwellings, commercial, industrial or other structures, and the spread of blight and deterioration. It may exercise all powers granted by law for such purposes to prevent devaluation, unhealthful influences, hazards to inhabitants or to otherwise serve the public health, morals, peace, safety and welfare. The cost of any such measures upon specific properties may be assessed against the same.
