In addition to any other condition or regulations contained in the City Code or the statutes of the state, the following conditions and regulations shall be applicable to and shall govern and control truck and semi-trailer storage lots.
A. Truck and semi-trailer storage lots shall be completely fenced in compliance with the Zoning Code and shall have at least one (1) gate for entering and exiting the property. The gate shall be secured and locked at all times, except when vehicles or persons are entering or exiting the property. The owner shall establish and maintain emergency access to the lot by arrangement with the City of Batavia. A Knox Box provided by the City of Batavia is required for emergency access to the property.
B. Truck and semi-trailer storage lots shall post at all entry gates the following:
1. A minimum sign of 3 feet by 3 feet of white backing with black lettering with the following information.
a. The name and contact information of the owner.
b. Authorized leasing agent or management for the lot.
C. Concrete or asphalt for pavement, curbing and gutter shall be installed on all truck and semi-trailer storage lot parking areas and drive aisles. Gravel is a prohibited surface.
D. No repair work may be performed on any truck, trailer, semi-trailer, or any vehicle on the property except in an enclosed structure located on truck and semi-trailer storage lot. This shall not include emergency tire repairs.
E. A tow truck facility is prohibited from operating on the same lot of a truck and semi-trailer storage lot.
F. The storage of hazardous materials is prohibited.
G. The storage of operating refrigeration trucks or trailers is prohibited.
H. The vertical storage of trailers or containers is prohibited.
I. The storage of inoperable motor vehicles and trailers is prohibited. All motor vehicles and trailers on the lot shall be licensed and registered. (Ord. 23-38, 8-21-2023)
