§ 94.42  NOTICE TO OWNER TO CUT; SERVICE.
   Upon information that noxious weeds, rank vegetation or grasses are growing on land in the village and are in excess of 12 inches or are about to spread or mature seeds, the village shall cause written notice to be served on the owner or person having charge of such land that such weeds, vegetation or grasses must be cut within five days after service of such notice. If such owner or person having charge of such land is a nonresident whose address is known, such notice shall be sent to his or her address by registered mail. If unknown, it shall be sufficient to publish such notice once in a newspaper of general circulation in the county.
