To operate or engage in business as an electrician or electrical contractor within the county, the person, firm, partnership or corporation desiring to operate or engage in the business shall be duly licensed according to the provisions of this chapter. The license shall be issued only in the name of the person, firm, partnership or corporation making application for the license. A person requesting the issuance of a license in the name of a firm, partnership or corporation shall on the application list the names and addresses of all members of the firm or partnership or the name and location of the place of the principal office of the corporation. Any change in the location of the place of business and any change in the membership of any firm or partnership shall be reported to the Chief Technical Code Enforcement Officer within five days after the change occurs. The examination required by §§ 153.20 through 153.24 shall be binding upon all members of the firm, partnership or corporation. Nothing in this chapter shall be construed as prohibiting industrial manufacturing concerns from installing and maintaining customary electrical installation incidental to the operation of the concern without complying with the licensing provisions of this chapter.
