§ 151.021 ADMINISTRATION OF BUILDING NUMBERING SYSTEM.
   (A)   The Chief Technical Code Enforcement Officer or his or her representative shall be responsible for assigning numbers to buildings in accordance with the building numbering system set forth in this subchapter. At the time of the issuance of a building permit or at a time thereafter as the Chief Technical Code Enforcement Officer shall deem appropriate, the person, firm or corporation requesting the building permit shall provide to the Chief Technical Code Enforcement Officer a certified site plan for the building indicating:
      (1)   The exact location of the building or buildings;
      (2)   The exact location of any access road or driveway serving the building or buildings; and
      (3)   The distance in feet from the center of each building to the nearest county road.
   (B)   Upon being informed of the exact existing or proposed location of a building, the Chief Technical Code Enforcement Officer shall designate and verify to the owner, occupant or builder of any existing or proposed building the proper number of the building. Any decision of the Chief Technical Code Enforcement Officer concerning the numbering of a building may be appealed to the County Plan Commission for review. In order for any appeal to be considered by the Plan Commission, the person, firm or corporation seeking the review shall submit a written statement setting forth in appropriate detail the reason for the appeal. The Plan Commission shall have the authority to overturn and change any decision of the Chief Technical Code Enforcement Officer concerning the numbering of a building. No owner or occupant of a building may change the number of the building without first obtaining the approval of Chief Technical Code Enforcement Officer. The Chief Technical Code Enforcement Officer shall maintain a current set of reproducible maps covering all of the county showing the numbers assigned to buildings. Copies of the maps may be made available to persons, firms or corporations requesting the copies upon the approval of the Board of Commissioners. In order for any request to be considered by the Board of Commissioners, the person, firm or corporation making the request shall submit a written statement setting forth in appropriate detail the reason for the request. The Board of Commissioners, with the advice of the Chief Technical Code Enforcement Officer, shall determine the fee to be charged to any person, firm or corporation receiving copies of the maps.
