All buildings within the county whenever used for residential business, industrial or governmental purpose, shall be numbered in accordance with the geographical grid system described below. The county house numbering grid system shall consist of a series of parallel lines running due east and west and due north and south and located every 300 feet. The two base lines to be used in locating the parallel lines and the grid system shall be a line running due north and south and a line running due east and west, both of which shall pass through a reference point located 1,320 feet south of and 1,370 feet east of the northwest corner of Section 25, Township 9 North, Range 6 East, in the county. All buildings shall be consistently and consecutively numbered from the appropriate base line in the manner described below. Each building located on or having an access road or driveway intersecting a road designated as a north-south road shall be assigned a north or south number with reference to its distance, north or south, from the base line described above running due east and west. Each building located on or having an access road or driveway intersecting a road designated as an east-west road shall be assigned an east or west number with reference to its distance, east or west, from the base line described above running due north and south. Even numbers shall be assigned to buildings located on or having an access road or driveway intersecting the north side of an east-west road or the west side of a north-south road. Odd numbers shall be assigned to buildings located on or having an access road or driveway intersecting the south side of an east-west road or the east side of a north-south road.
