In addition to the Office of Chief of Police, there shall exist within the department the ranks of patrolman, Sergeant, Lieutenant and Deputy Chief. The number of members at each rank, the salary level for each rank, the promotion of members from one rank to another, and all other matters so relating shall be determined as provided by related ordinances of the Village and any specific rules or regulations established by the Village Board of Trustees not in conflict therewith.
