4-2-5: OFFENSES AGAINST PROPERTY 1 :
   A.   Defacing Or Injuring Buildings: It shall be unlawful for any person to wilfully injure, deface, mutilate, remove, pull down, break or in any manner interfere with, molest, secrete or destroy any real or personal property belonging to, in the possession of, or under the care, custody or control of any person in the town.
   B.   Interfering With Fire Alarm System: No person shall interfere with any part of a fire alarm system unless so authorized by the chief of the fire department. (Ord. 92-07, 7-21-1992)
   C.   Interfering With Fire Hydrants, Water Mains: No person shall shut off or turn on or interfere in any way with any fire hydrant, valve or water main in the town unless authorized by the town and Wardwell water and sewer district. (Ord. 2013-03, 9-3-2013)
   D.   Littering: It shall be unlawful for any person to throw, dump, place or dispose of in any manner upon any highway, street, alley, public property or road right of way any garbage, trash, litter, rubbish, debris, carcass or parts of dead animals, wrecked or abandoned vehicles, equipment and machinery or parts thereof, cans, scrap iron, glass, bottles, paper, cardboard, cellophane, refuse or burning cigarettes or other burning articles, or any substance which would be likely to injure any person, animal or vehicle or which would in any way detract from the appearance of the land within any highway, street, alley, public property or road right of way.
   E.   Distribution Of Advertising Materials: It shall be unlawful for any person to distribute advertising material or samples at a home within the town, other than the home of a person requesting the same, by placing such material at the home or on the property of the person owning or occupying such home, unless the person distributing such advertising material or samples, obtains a license from the town clerk. The foregoing provisions shall not apply to the distribution of advertising material:
      1.   Through the U.S. postal services; or
      2.   Through newspapers of general circulation; or
      3.   Distributed by charitable, religious, political or not for profit organizations.
   F.   Trespass: It shall be unlawful for any person to enter upon the lands or buildings of another without the consent of the owner, occupant or person in charge, or who being lawfully or unlawfully upon the lands or buildings of another, not to depart therefrom after being notified by the owner, occupant or person in charge.
