(a) Upon the making of such application, the payment of the license fee and the filing with the Mayor of the proof of insurance and a copy of the policy, the Mayor shall issue to such person, firm or corporation a license authorizing such person, firm or corporation to operate a taxicab service in the Municipality, and to operate the number of taxicabs for which the fee was paid and for which proof of insurance was supplied.
(b) Such license shall thereafter continue in force so long as such person, firm or corporation shall annually pay to the Clerk-Treasurer the license fee required for each taxicab operated, shall continously keep in force the insurance and shall annually file with the Mayor further proof of compliance with the insurance requirements of this chapter. The annual payment of the license fee and proof of insurance compliance shall be endorsed on the license by the Mayor. (Ord. 609. Passed 5-27-47.)
