(a) All full-time Municipal employees, including police officers, shall be entitled to a paid vacation each year based on the following schedule:

At least 8 but less than 15 | 3 |

(b) Vacation time shall not be cumulative and must be taken each calendar year. The date of employment will be the determinative date in each calendar year for compiling years of continuous service. (Ord. 1281. Passed 7-18-72.)
(c) In the event of termination of employment the employee shall be paid for unused vacation time for the calendar year during which employment is terminated.
(d) Vacation schedules shall be set up in accordance with rules to be established by the Mayor consistent with this section.

(e) With the approval of the Village Administrator an employee shall be permitted to receive up to one (1) weeks’ pay per year in lieu of one (1) week of vacation. An employee desiring to do so shall inform the Village Administrator as soon as possible.
