(a) There is hereby created the position of Municipal Parking Meter Attendant.
(b) The duties of the Municipal Parking Meter Attendant shall be to patrol the metered parking spaces in the Municipality and issue notices of overtime parking; to make collections from the parking meters; and to assume responsibility for the prompt maintenance and repair of all inoperable or malfunctioning parking meters.
(c) The Municipal Parking Meter Attendant shall not be a police officer and shall not be required to perform any police duties whatsoever.
(d) The Municipal Parking Meter Attendant shall be appointed by the Mayor, subject to confirmation by Council, and shall serve at the pleasure of the Mayor.
(e) The Municipal Parking Meter Attendant shall be bonded in the amount of one thousand dollars ($1,000). (Ord. 1507. Passed 3-19-79.)
