The exterior architectural features, site elements and signage may be the subject of ordinary maintenance and repair with the same design color and material without the necessity of a Certificate of Appropriateness if, upon reviewed by the Chairperson of the Board, it is found that such maintenance:
(a) Does not result in the substantial removal of an exterior feature that is considered to have historic significance and/or architectural purpose.
(b) Does not perpetuate a condition or treatment that is considered to be, by the Board, inappropriate or incompatible with the structure or the historic surroundings of the District. (Ord. 1875. Passed 2-1-93.)
